Adopting from us

Our Policies

The practical details of welcoming a Little York kitten.

Policy · 01

Before you reach out

Please take a look through our FAQ and policies. We want you to feel informed before you apply or place a deposit.

Policy · 02

Applications & availability

Apply to adopt and watch Available Kittens for listings at 4 to 5 weeks. We work first come, first served, with no wait-list or pre-reservation updates.

Policy · 03

Deposits

A $600 non-refundable deposit is paid by Interac e-Transfer. Deposits open from 3 weeks, or from 2 weeks if you contact us directly. Please place one only when you're certain.

Policy · 04

Written contract

Every kitten goes home with a written contract. Please read it carefully; full health guarantee terms are included there.

Policy · 05

Pricing

The fixed price is $2,900 CAD, regardless of colour, pattern, or sex. We don't offer multi-kitten discounts or different older-kitten or adult pricing. The balance is due at pick-up.

Policy · 06

Health & bio-security

Kittens receive two sets of core vaccinations, deworming, and a final healthy-kitten check. To protect their health and our family's privacy, we host visits only at pick-up. Our contract includes a 2-year genetic and 72-hour health guarantee. Contact your veterinarian first for any health concern, then share their records with us if it may be covered.

Policy · 07

Communication

We're available weekday evenings 5:30 to 8:30 PM and Saturdays 2:00 to 8:30 PM. We respond within 48 hours; reserved families receive updates from reservation onward.

Policy · 08

Pick-up timeline

Kittens go home at 12 to 13 weeks, never before 12. Please plan to pick up at our Toronto home within 3 to 5 days of your kitten being ready.

Policy · 09

Declawing

We consider declawing unethical. Little York kittens must never be declawed.

Policy · 10

Breeding

We do not offer breeding rights; kittens are placed as pet or show quality.

Policy · 11

Spay/neuter & TICA papers

Kittens are not spayed or neutered before go-home. TICA registration papers are provided after we receive proof of spay/neuter.
